Orlando Attractions
When visiting Orlando, or more specifically vacationing in Orlando, you're going to visit a park or attraction. The big names are Disney World and Universal Orlando. You can also enjoy water parks and dinner shows, or the myriad of other niche attractions that are dropped all over the Orlando area.
Disney World
It would be hard to find someone that had never heard of Disney World or Mickey Mouse. In that respect, Orlando has become one of the most famous cities in the world. Should you ever plan on coming to Orlando, then getting a ticket to a Disney World park will be a much appreciated purchase. At their assorted themed parks, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, or Hollywood Studios, you will find your childhood come to life. You can also enjoy fun in the sun at the two waterparks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.
Universal Orlando
The counter park to Disney World is Universal Orlando or Universal Studios Orlando. Always adding new rides and attractions, the latest being the addition of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal has captured the attentions of millions of tourists annually. Universal Orlando is composed of two parks on the property called Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Both feature rides and roller coasters with Islands of Adventure being more focused on fanciful kinetic thrills of genres, while Universal Studios is almost exclusively populated by movie characters and comic book super heroes in kinetic rides, and 4d theatres. What really decides which park you go to, is what characters you want to see most.
Water Parks
Aside from the thrills of tall and fast roller coasters, you have the tall and fast water slides surrounded by pools and volleyball at Orlando Waterparks. At Disney's Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, or Universal's Wet N' Wild, water parks, you can experience the power of their respective franchises at the same time you splash your worries away. Lounge by the pools or get high and soaked going through the tons of waterways and tubes before you splash down or skim to a stop on some of the fastest and longest water slides in the country.
Dinner Shows
Between stays at the parks, you can always continue the investment of your vacation into the Dinner Shows of Orlando. Medieval Times, Arabian Nights, Sleuths, Al Capone's and more all have large followings in Orlando. At an Orlando Dinner Show, you can expect to have great food and even better entertainment for the evening! Whether you enjoy horses, combat, live performances, or just the thrill of seeing a show most people can't say they've seen, you'll be at home in an Orlando Dinner Show.
Attractions
And of course, Orlando is home to a plethora of Other Attractions catering to the interests of more select people. Gatorland has the largest collection of large reptiles in the city, as well as an expansive aviary full of exotic birds. Fantasy of Flight is a museum on a whole different level that educates while immersing you into some of the most amazing aircrafts in history and film including props for Indiana Jones. You can also visit Wonderworks and so on for any number of exciting distractions in Orlando. If you have an interest, chances are Orlando has an attraction for it!
